Concrete Slab for the Shed

Finally, we got to the point where the concrete slab will be done.

15 minutes later, Wayne is starting to prepare the site. 

Another 15 minutes later, the bobcat and his driver have arrived to start the job. He was really quick. It was great to watch them.

 The reinforcement mesh has also been delivered. Unfortunately, it was the wrong one, to thin.... Thinner than on the plans. We noticed that and of course it had to be exchanged. They did it without any problems.

 Few days later, the boys have arrived to prepare everything for the concrete slab to be poured, including the right mesh :)

Look at the sexy tongs :) Did you hear anything about work health and safety?? heheh But they do a good job so far.

Few days later (in between, it was raining and we had to wait for the next few days to dry), the tradies arrived to pour the concrete! Yeah!!

The first truck arrived.

There are five boys working on the concrete plus the driver. Everything is going well so far :)

Half of the job is done and we are waiting for the third truck now.

Four trucks later....

The job is nearly done.

The day after... It is raining! We don't need to water the concrete slab. Just doing a couple of photos and back home :) We are very happy with the work.

The Next Step - The Shed Project

Ok, we decided to go with the shed first. After about three weeks of looking and negotiating for the best quote, we found the company who will do the shed for us. We signed the contract with Universal Home Improvements in Hervey Bay. This is what we have also done till today.

Wesley and his 8 tones excavator :) are preparing the site for the concrete slab for the shed.
